EPA07 Lowrider Exhaust Packaging
Project Details:
- Due to the implementation of the new EPA07 exhaust emmissions standards on class 8 trucks in the USA and Canada there
is a requirement for extra exhaust piping between the turbo exhaust and the new After Treatment Device to clean the exhaust.
The exhaust then travels to the exhaust pipes as before.
- New exhaust piping was developed which minimized the number of new pipes required for the various truck models and ensured
clearances to all of the various suspension, fuel and structural components.
- The renderings on this page were then used for marketing purposes to show the exhaust path to customers and were also used
in the technical installation instruction manual used by the manufacturing personnel. A trend in installation drawings in
the transportation industry is to produce more graphical illustrations rather than strictly controlled design drawings
which are often more confusing to read.
